Port Elizabeth: SEACC-SF will be teaming up with SAMREC (South African Marine Rehabilitation and Education Centre) for a beach clean-up, penguin release, sand sculpting and face painting at Pollock beach on 3 December. 09:00 start, penguin release will be at 09:30.

East London: Students from Selborne College will make a group Pledge and have a beach clean-up. Meet at Nahoon Beach at the Lifesaver's Shack at 11:00 on 3 December.

St Francis Bay and Jeffrey’s Bay: Two Harbours Walk on 3 December departing in St Francis Bay from Kromme Trust Heritage Centre at Granny’s Pool at 11:00, and from Jeffrey's Bay at Dolphin Beach at 13:00.
Community members will carry their pledges to the Port to be handed to Johan Barnard (Port Captain). The community members will then decorate the Port Christmas Tree, which this year has been constructed from 100% recycled products and will be decorated with 100% recycled materials, and participants will be able to write a pledge on a plastic bag “flag” to hang on the tree. Other community members will boat, paddle and jet ski to Paradise Beach to meet the Jeffrey’s Bay representatives to exchange pledges mid-way between the two towns.

Gordon’s Bay: Indigo Scuba Diving Centre will be holding two special dives and a “boerie braai” to raise funds for the Sustainable Seas Trust (SST). All divers and non-divers are welcome and for every dive booked, Indigo Scuba will donate R45 to SEA Pledge. In return, divers will receive a personalised World Ocean Day recognition card that will feature their photo and personal pledge. Non-Divers are welcome to participate and can use this opportunity to support SST by purchasing their own personalised World Ocean Day recognition card and joining Indigo Scuba for a their “boerie braai”.
The first dive will be at Steenbras Deep, 11km from Harbour Island. This breath-taking dive site is home to many rare and unusual marine species and ranges in depth from 17 to 30 metres. The second dive is planned for Steenbras River Mouth. This beautiful reef plays host to many reef fish and an amazing variety of colourful and interesting marine life. This dive site is suitable for all qualified divers.

Cape Town: The Volvo Ocean Race, Wavescape and Skeleton Sea Artists are hosting a beach clean up on 3 December at Mouille Point, Green Point from 11:00 - 13:00. Durban: Dr Tony Ribbink will be in Durban on 3 December to deliver a talk about SEA Pledge to the Global Ocean Forum at 17:30. He will be accompanied by a group of children that will present the SEA Pledge petition to the Global Ocean Forum on this date.
