The Sustainable Seas Trust in collaboration with Ndlambe Municipality recently
offered learners from Alexandria Christian Academy a lesson about pollution.

First off was a viewing of SST's film - Pollution. The viewing of the film
initiated a request from the learners to put into to action what they learnt,
so plastic bags where handed out in order for the learners to do a beach
clean-up while walking down to Kariega Beach, where Ndlambe
Municipality presented a Blue Flag beach lesson. Then it was on to Middle
Beach to explore the riches of our sandy shores and where learners
participated in SST's camera programme.
The SST Camera programme allows children the opportunity to work with
cameras, sponsored by Canon, to help them focus their attention on the
coastal environment (and their friends). In working with a camera the
learners' gaze is directed and their focus sharpened onto all aspects of
marine conservation whilst visiting our rocky and sandy shores.
