World Oceans Day preview

Plett Hope Spot's proposed World Oceans Day activities - visit their Facebook Page for updates:

  • A reef dive to clean the reef, organised with Pro Dive; 
  • A beach clean-up; 
  • A small kiddies program;
  • A beach volleyball competition;
  • An art fundraising auction in the evening – inviting local artists to auction off marine theme art & auctioning off some kids from the seven Eco-schools in their area.

Cape Whale Coast Hope Spot are celebrating World Oceans Day with the 40Fathoms Film Festival – a film festival designed to raise awareness about marine issues, conservation success stories, and provide people with the tools to make a tangible difference. You still have time to submit your film as the deadline is this Friday May 16th. Entrants are invited to contact Meaghen McCord for more information about 40Fathoms Film Festival and the address for posting submissions.
