False Bay Hope Spot

False Bay Conservation

False Bay Hope Spot stretches from Cape Point to Cape Hangklip and is rich in biodiversity and has a wealth of diverse cultural and social history. The bay is important because of its fisheries and the many people in the area who depend on the sea for their livelihoods, particularly those involved in tourism.

Because of the pressures on False Bay and the tendency to sometimes pollute it the Hope Spot initiative opens exciting possibilities to help improve both the False Bay environment and economy of the area.
