Overview

The South East African Climate Consortium (SEACC) was launched in March 2010 in order to draw the best expertise from the four universities and several NGOs to serve the needs of the Eastern Cape. The founding universities are Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, Rhodes University, University of Fort Hare and Walter Sisulu University. The founding NGOs are Sustainable Seas Trust and Wilderness Foundation.

SEACC Student Forum

The SEACC Student Forum was launched at the same time as the senior consortium, initially at Rhodes University. The students have performed superbly, obtaining national and international recognition and winning awards for their activities. Prof Mervyn King is the Patron of the SEACC Student Forum.

The students across the campuses do work collectively on projects and share ideas. Their stronger projects, however, are those that they run independently on their own campuses. For more information see:
